CHAINMAIL is a soft armour.

Hand woven silver links form a structure that responds to the movement of the body. Each connection is created individually. Every link passes through the hands before becoming part of a larger whole. The construction grows patiently, rhythmically, almost meditatively.

Historically, chain mail protected the body. Today, armour has shifted form. We no longer wear it beneath helmets, but against the skin. Make up, clothing, jewellery. Chosen layers through which we decide how we are seen.

CHAINMAIL operates within this tension. It is ornament, yet also a filter. A reflective surface that attracts the gaze and subtly redirects it. It does not conceal in a literal sense. It reframes. Protection here lies not in hiding, but in the strength of form.

Silver settles on the body like a flexible metallic mesh. Fluid, luminous, assured. A structure that moves with gesture, tracing the wrist, the line of the neck, the rhythm of a step.

Bracelets, necklaces, earrings and chains can be worn daily as a restrained layer of light, or elevated into a bold evening presence. The same structure shifts between subtlety and monumentality, depending on scale and intent.

CHAINMAIL EARRINGS 1

A handwoven fragment of chainmail crafted from sterling silver links, suspended from a threader hook. Each earring is made of 44 individual links, with the hook passing delicately through the piercing while the chainmail drapes fluidly along the base of the neck.
