COPPER

My favorite material. Beautiful, durable, full of life. Underappreciated in jewelry-making due to its “semi-precious” status and “non-castable” attributes. It is mainly recognized for its decorative, ornamental forms from Eastern cultural spheres.

With my copper designs, I’m trying to show you that copper jewelry can be modern and sophisticated, and its “semi-precious” nature can be an advantage.

Moreover, copper has strong antibacterial, antiviral, and antifungal properties.

It prevents skin aging and smooths existing wrinkles while enhancing microcirculation in the skin’s capillaries. Wearing copper jewelry regularly supports the body’s natural regeneration processes, improves digestion, rejuvenates, and alleviates inflammation.

But this only applies when the copper is not coated.

My copper jewelry is not varnished, ensuring it retains its properties. However, this means it will oxidize and change color when in contact with skin and the environment.

If you prefer the shine of new rather than patina, copper jewellery can be easily refreshed by following the instructions below.

How to clean copper jewellery?

One of the best and easiest ways is to use an ecological dishwashing liquid with the addition of natural acids. The liquid should be applied in a non-foamy form to patinated copper jewellery and spread evenly by rubbing with your fingers. Then rinse under running water and wipe with a soft, absorbent cloth. It is important to wipe all elements dry.

You can also use lemon juice for cleaning. Just squeeze it onto a cotton pad and rub the entire surface. After obtaining a satisfactory effect, rinse thoroughly and dry.

Another proven method is to bathe the jewellery in a carbonated drink such as “cola”. To do this, place the jewellery items in a container and pour fresh carbonated drink over them – leaving for 3-5 minutes. Then rinse thoroughly and dry.

There are also many products, pastes and liquids available on the market designed for cleaning silver, copper and brass. In such cases, follow the manufacturer’s instructions.
