PEBBLE
Memories of summer, memories of sun-warmed waters with a rocky bottom and sandy beaches woven with pebbles thrown out by the sea. Wet, salty skin covered with grains of sand. Carefree happiness.
Broken, misty, lazy and warm memories of seaside trips became the inspiration for the PEBBLE collection. And souvenir pebbles brought from the beaches from Nice, Dziwnówek and Lanzarote became the base for the forms in which I now multiply them and set them in rings, earrings and necklaces.
I make the elements of the collection from my own mixture of noble concrete developed in my own workshop. The main ingredient of this mixture is marble.
Artificial stone is combined with bronze cast in the old traditional technique of imprints in the sand. The time-consuming and unpredictable working method makes each of the casts different and unique in its raw simplicity.
The rounded shapes of the stones combined with the uneven, polished surface of the bronze are the author’s interpretation of oversized grains of sand adhering to the body and shimmering in the sun.
